The History of Falcon Rice |
| Since 1942, the name Falcon has been synonymous with the rice industry of South Louisiana. Originally, the company dealt only in seed rice. In the fall, Edward and Evelyn Falcon purchased rough rice from area farmers, then cleaned, treated, and resold it for seed in the spring. |
| In 1950, the milling operation was installed and soon, Falcon Rice Mill began selling rice to the great cooks of South Louisiana under the brand names Ed´s, Randy´s, and Falcon Rice. Later, other brands were developed and marketed by Falcon Rice Mill, including Toro, Home Country, Jackpot, Cajun Style and the very popular Cajun Country brand of long, medium and popcorn rice. |
